Farmers Walk. w/ Hex bar- 135 lbs

Ten Trips. (50 meters up and back)


- Back feels strong. 2nd week still VERY light VERY, VERY light. Four sets of 25 pushups spread in between lifts. Chins getting stronger, took 4 days off training altogether. Quarters the whole nine. Nerve blockers are doing their voodoo, gonna get it in while I can. Fuck you L-4!

- Bought a set of straps today. Used them for shrugs and then realized I'm a fucking idiot for using straps for 135 lbs on the Hex bar. WAY heavier next time. Also used them for the Farmers walks...Don't know if I'm going to do that again. I bought the straps to help with grip fatigue DURING my set of farmers walks. The straps made it too easy. Instead of of pushing for a max set of trips I'm just going to go for broke until I cant grip the damn bar anymore and completely spent. That's the point right? Overall good training day.

- On a fucking bum note- My diet has been SHIT this week. Being laid up on quarters certainly didn't help. As gay as it may seem I track my diet on myfitnesspal.com

   I try to maintain a caloric deficit day in day out, keep protein at body weight plus and carbs at or around less than a hundred grams a day,  fats falling in behind that. Needless to say I fucked the dog on that today. This week I've been right on the borderline, today





   It also doesn't help that my brand fucking new blender that had a specific 'smoothie' button that whipped up a badass protein shake in about 20 seconds FUCKING DIED. Unacceptable. Ive recently also discovered that like a Meth head I start to get VERY nervous when my fridge and pantry of awesomeness starts to dwindle. By awesomeness I mean the staples- Protein, Peanut butter (crunchy you assholes), steel cut oats, ground beef / turkey, egg whites- you get the fucking picture. When said items become depleted I freak the fuck out and eat stupid shit I shouldn't. Pathetic right? Someone call Dr Drew.


  The take away? The more I surround myself with healthy shit- the less likely I am to fuck up. And I am pathetic for succumbing to straps. I'm going to inhale my daughters Halloween candy along with my feelings. Have a great day!
